A practical comparison order

  1. Company role: identify the carrier, broker, or agent named in each document.
  2. Estimate structure: compare binding terms with binding terms and understand what can change.
  3. Inventory: find omitted rooms, boxes, bulky items, or packing.
  4. Access: compare stairs, elevators, parking distance, shuttles, and long carries.
  5. Protection and timing: line up valuation, storage, pickup, and delivery language.
  6. Conditional total: add questions for every charge without a usable rate.

Example: $3,900 versus $4,450

The lower quote is not necessarily cheaper if it omits packing materials and a shuttle that the higher quote includes. Ask each mover to price the same inventory and access conditions in writing before treating the totals as alternatives.
